White Salmon Valley School District's After-School Program
The White Salmon Valley School District offers an after-school program for students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Enrollment is limited to 20 students, 5 days a week.
The School District is aware that the demand for this program is higher than what can currently be offered. It is the advisory committee's and the School Board's intention to build a quality program over the next 3-5 years. They hope to accommodate more students in the near future.
How it works
Families complete a registration form, listing K-3 children needing after-school care. The forms are randomly drawn until the enrollment is filled. Families of the first 20 children are notified. If your family's name is drawn, each child on the form will be eligible. The families who are selected are contacted and given the option to enroll or pass. If you decide to pass, the next family on the list is contacted and offered a spot.
Contact the After School Coordinator or Whitson principal for the current costs. A commitment of 5 days per week (14 hours/week) will be required.
Deadline to register
The deadline to register is the preceeding May of the school year for which you're registering. If you have questions about the program, please contact Whitson Principal Todd McCauley or After School Coordinator, Stephenie Going.
