White Salmon School District

Effective next Monday, September 12, 2022, COVID guidance has changed.  Any students or staff who test positive for COVID on Day 0 must quarantine for 5 days.  Beginning on Day 5, students and staff can test using a rapid antigen test.  Students and staff may return to school the day following a negative test result on days 5-9.  The return on a negative test protocol is effective on Day 5, 6, 7. 8 and 9.  After quarnating for 10 days, any student or staff may return to school on Day 11.

The district will continue to provide rapid antigen tests to any staff, students, or families who request them.  Please contact a district nurse, office staff or principal to access them.

Additionally, I want to acknowledge that Governor Inslee made a statement related to the emergency proclamations made at the onset of the pandemic, in which he set a date of October 31, 2022 an end date for that proclamation.  As of today, the district knows that the mandate for COVID vaccinations for staff, volunteers, and indoor contractors will end on this date.  There has been no communication from OSPI, DOH, or any other state agency, yet, with further implications or impacts on schools.  When I receive further clarification from the state, I will be communicating it with you in a timely fashion.
